Is there a difference between racism and classism
Yes, there is a definite difference. Racism is the view that no matter where you stand economically, your skin color and ethnic origin define your actions as a person. Classism is the view that your economic status defines your actions as a person. Both are forms of prejudice. But racism has to do with discriminating by race while classism is about discriminating based on money and possessions. Neither are right, but they will always exist.
How to End Homelessness in America
Personally, I do not believe there is a way to ever end homelessness in the US or any other huge civilization. The problem is there will always be people who fall through the cracks of capitalism. Those who lose everything, those who become addicted to all different kinds of drugs, and those who refuse to conform to societal standards. And there will always be the mentally ill. Now maybe we could force these different peoples into homes where we "protect them from themselves", but in a way, are we not compromising their freedom by doing that?
As long as we live in a Capitalistic society, homelessness will not be going anywhere.
